Gary Eichelberger is a proud native of Cumberland County with 20-plus years of experience in the private sector. As County Commissioner Gary has lead the fight to improve government efficiency, preserve our quality of life, and protect taxpayers.
Gary brings good business sense to county government and transformed Cumberland County into a model for conservative management practices. Commissioner Eichelberger’s “Taxpayer Protection Plan” delivered nine consecutive budgets with no county tax increases. Gary resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife Tracy, a former chemistry professor and current administrator at Shippensburg University.
